So encouraged by Miss Esther Mok (1st Sars patient)

I was browsing thru the sunday times just now and an article just caught my eye. "Living in the shadow of DEATH". It contains an extract frm the book 'A Defining Moment: how Singapore Beat Sars'n is on an exclusive interview with Miss Esther Mok, the first Sars patient in Singapore. In the interview, she mentioned how she feels when she saw her family members n pastor go thru the sufferings of sars... Her dad died, followed by pastor, mum n uncle..The sufferings she went thru were indeed excrutiating.. having to bear the burden of a super spreader, then hav to bear the pain of losing loved ones... but wat struck me frm the article was hw candidly she shared abt her feelings towards God..How she was lost, then found again... I just felt very encouraged reading tt n feel tt Father will indeed never leave nor forsake us, even if we were to turn our back on Him, He'll still be there waiting to embrace us again..Then was thinking mayb it's only thru times of adversity , then can the strength of one be brought out.. like Esther realise hw much her Father in Heaven loves her...n realise tt her life can be more purposeful only after the ordeal she went thru. Mayb this can be described by the quote I read sumwhere "Diamonds cannot be polished without friction n Gold cannot be purified without fire." =)
p/s:May God bless you, Esther =)
